If you don't keep up to-do-date with Disney trends, here's a bit of background about Disney Key Culture!
Keys have always been part of Disney lives. They were first seen as Opening Ceremony keys. This was when if you were first to arrive at a selected Disney store, you would assist Cast Members in opening the store with a large key. Any guest that had the privilege of being chosen for this was given a special miniature version of this extra large key! This makes some keys from certain stores around the world very rare!
Here's a look at my current key collection.
The rarest key I currently own is this amazing D23 expo key.
My good friend Jeck (@jeck.disney on Instagram, follow him <3) very kindly gave me this key as a gift. I was so overwhelmed because it is very hard to get hold of and ebay prices are crazy!
Disney started releasing special keys on Shop Disney and in-store. They were only available to you once you'd spent a certain amount of money on selected products. The new set released today is the first opportunity fans have had at being able to purchase the keys in a beautiful display box instead.
As you can see, each key has a theme. For example, Pixar's anniversary, Frozen or Ink and Paint. Keys are so fun to collect, they look amazing. I have seen so many impressive framed key collections!
