SO! HELLO GUYS and welcome back to Disney Elz :D

I kinda never thought this day would come, I went and got a TATTOO! Yes, me, Ellie - I got a tattoo! For anybody who knows me, they'll know that this is a big deal. It was relatively spontaneous but I have wanted a Disney tattoo for a while.

Here's a little look at the beautiful tattoo just after I had it done. This is covered in cream to keep it niiiiiiice and the shading is dark because it hasn't healed yet in this photo. :)

In terms of tattoos - I've always wanted one. My friend Dan (@danielptattooer on instagram) works at a lovely little shop in my town (@coastlinetattoowsm). I have spoken to him countless times about wanting a small Disney tattoo somewhere on my wrist. One day, I was just walking past his shop and suddenly got the urge to have it done that day. I went away, sat on a bench with Nikon and started looking at designs. Suddenly, I came across a Mickey head balloon. It seemed perfect to me - Disney, Pixar's UP, Winnie the Pooh, childhood, joy, colour - all of these things sprang to mind. It just felt so right.

The lovely Dan drew up this specific design for me - I love it. I love that nobody else will have this design on their body and that mine was drawn for me by a life long friend.

One of the only reasons I haven't had it done previously is usually just being worried about the pain of it. I can honestly say, this did not hurt me. I have a relatively high threshold of pain but this genuinely wasn't painful - just a bit uncomfortable. However, this is meant to be one of the most painless places on the body.

It is very random and surreal to me that this is on my body forever but I am so glad. I am totally an advocate for being YOU and not letting anyone stop you from expressing yourself. I don't know what was holding me back before but I am so glad I've now got a tattoo. I wouldn't have wanted to die without knowing what it felt like and I would've been disappointed not having one.

Disney has given me so much in my life that I know there's no chance of regretting this tattoo. I don't want to sway any of you lovely people reading this into getting one if it's not what you want, of course! :) This is purely what I would've liked to have read when I was unsure about it before :)

Here's a picture of it taken today around two weeks on. It's pretty much fully healed I'd say and I've looked after it really well. The shading has gone to a really cool lighter grey that I love.

I'm already looking into getting a few more tattoos. I don't necessarily want to be covered but I'd love a few small ones like this that really capture who I am. For example, I'd love a Harry Potter tattoo and maybe an Isabelle from Animal Crossing! :) We will see where my tattoo journey ends up!

Let me know if you guys have any tattoos? Is there one that you've always secretly wanted? Did you start with one and now have loads? I can see how it could quickly turn from one to one hundred. I love how it feels to find the perfect design and finally have it on your skin for life! :) eeeee!

Thanks for reading,

Elz xoxo
