Lion King Soundtrack #Gifted

Today, I was very kindly #gifted the new live action Lion King Soundtrack CD by the wonderful people at UMC (@umc on Instagram)! This is so exciting. If you have read my film review of Lion King, you'll know that I LOVED this soundtrack. The highlights on this particular soundtrack, in my opinion, are: Spirit, The Lion Sleeps Tonight and He Lives in You. So, thank you so much to UMC for this beautiful gift. I actually have a small collection of Lion King soundtracks that I've purchased over the years. As you can see in the picture below, there are three vinyl records. One is the cardboard sleeve version which contains a standard black vinyl. The other two are picture discs - I get asked a lot of questions about my vinyl collection, specifically picture discs. Most people wonder if they actually play the songs - yes, they do! It's magical to watch as the picture spins and your favourite soundtrack plays! :)

The vinyl with the old animation group photo is a relatively newly released Lion King picture disc. The other (blue) is a Limited Edition vinyl picture disc that I managed to win on eBay. I have number 531 of 4,000.

To conclude, I absolutely adore Disney soundtracks and owning them on different formats with all kinds of artwork is just so great to me. It's such an awesome way of appreciating and collecting the soundtrack.
